AIIR Products Partners with Copeland on Smart HVAC Controls

AIIR Intelligent HVAC has announced a strategic partnership with Copeland to integrate a custom-configured version of Copeland’s Verdant VX4 thermostat into all AIIR products. The companies said the integration is designed to simplify installation, accelerate project approvals, and improve energy performance for AI-powered HVAC systems.

The custom Verdant VX4 thermostat, engineered for AIIR systems, will serve as the exclusive user interface for controlling AIIR’s classic controls mode. The interface is available in the AIIR User App, allowing residents to adjust temperature, humidity, and airflow from anywhere.

AIIR said Copeland’s Verdant thermostat platform has been deployed across more than 11,000 properties. The company said the platform supports brand-standard compliance and faster approvals for hospitality and multifamily projects.

The paired solution combines AIIR’s onboard AI and machine learning capabilities with Verdant’s system for predictive comfort optimization and energy management through EMS and BMS integrations. According to the announcement, the VX4 thermostat platform has demonstrated HVAC energy savings of 15–20% in existing hospitality and multifamily deployments. It supports wired and wireless installation options and can be deployed in approximately 10 minutes.

The companies said the combined solution is designed for new construction and retrofit environments and aligns with energy mandates including California Title 24 Building Energy Efficiency Standards and New York City Local Law 97.

“Through this partnership, we're working together to deliver a more integrated HVAC and controls solution that supports operators in scaling smarter energy management, while maintaining compatibility with the systems they already use,” said Michael Serour, Verdant VP and General Manager at Copeland.
