Aira Names Peter Prem CEO and Anthony Loizeau Deputy CEO to Accelerate Growth

Leadership shift aims to strengthen operational execution and market expansion.

Aira has appointed Peter Prem as Group CEO and Anthony Loizeau as Group Deputy CEO of Market Operations, effective end of May 2025. Prem succeeds outgoing CEO Martin Lewerth, who is stepping down after leading the company since its founding phase.

The leadership transition comes as Aira enters a new phase of expansion across Europe. Since its launch in June 2023, the clean energy-tech company has grown rapidly, offering heat pump systems with monthly payment options and a 15-year guarantee. Aira now operates in Germany, Italy, and the UK, with annual run-rate sales exceeding €150 million and a workforce of 1,200 employees.

Prem has served as Chief Operations Officer since April 2022, overseeing the scale-up of Aira’s Polish manufacturing facility and optimizing service operations. Prior to Aira, he held senior global roles at Tetra Pak in operations and strategic planning. Loizeau, who joined Aira in June 2024 as CEO of its Italian business, will now lead sales and marketing across all markets. His previous experience includes leadership roles at Verisure Group, Orange, and Nestlé.

“The board and I are deeply grateful to Martin for his exceptional work in establishing Aira as a leading player in the European home energy ecosystem,” said Harald Mix, Chairman of Aira. “Peter Prem and Anthony Loizeau have a solid platform as they begin leading the company into its next chapter with a strong focus on accelerating growth and driving productivity.”

Aira’s core mission is to reduce residential heating emissions, which account for 10% of Europe’s CO2 output. The company’s vertically integrated platform targets consumer adoption through a value proposition focused on sustainability and affordability.

“Anthony and I are eager to lead Aira into its next phase of growth, launching great products and scaling the business with world-class operational excellence,” said Peter Prem, Group CEO. Loizeau added, “We have a winning formula with a superior value proposition that enables significant savings for customers.”

Aira plans to continue expanding its footprint while enhancing the efficiency and scalability of its clean heating solutions.
