AMP Provides HVAC to Ensure Comfort in Car Showroom

Motorpoint Chingford had been struggling with maintaining a comfortable temperature year-round in their showroom, finding that the facilities became too hot during summer months and were expensive to heat during the winter. Given the importance of customer care and an optimal shopping experience in retail, Motorpoint was keen to improve the building and ensure year-round indoor comfort; with winter already underway, it was important to find a more affordable and efficient solution at the earliest opportunity.

AMP Air was quickly appointed to the project to create a solution to the showroom’s HVAC needs. AMP drew up plans for the project, working with Motorpoint to produce a bespoke system design which would effectively meet the project brief. The proposed solution was a triple split cassette system with nanoe X installed, which would work in tandem with a single split 7Kw system in heating and cooling the building.
As well as customer comfort, safety for staff and customers also played a role in the decision to choose this system. Nanoe X has been proven to improve indoor air quality dramatically, removing harmful bacteria, pollutants and allergens from the air – and with recent testing showing that nanoe X can inhibit COVID-19 by up to 99.99%, the new HVAC system could even help protect customers and staff alike from catching coronavirus whilst in the showroom.

Motorpoint fully approved the project, and the go-ahead was given for installation to begin.

CSD Air Conditioning was brought in for the installation work by contractor Frank Adams and got to work on fitting the new system for the showroom. Carlo Scaramuzza, the owner of CSD, commented: “We had no issues at all with AMP Air during the project; everything went according to plan and was delivered on time. We were impressed by the quality of service and have no concerns whatsoever about the quality of the systems installed – everything was fully operational and had no technical faults. It ended up being one of the smoothest projects we have ever delivered – everything went according to plan during installation without a hitch.”
