Turkish maker Arçelik and Korean air conditioning manufacturer LG are to invest a further $57m in their joint venture factory in Kocaeli, Turkey.

Arçelik-LG Klima Sanayi ve Tic. A.Ş. was founded on the 25th of May, 1999, in order to produce air conditioners for domestic and export markets. Arçelik A.Ş. and LG Electronics are %50 to %50 partners in Arçelik-LG company. The company established its production facilities with an initial $50 millions investment in Gebze Industrial District, Kocaeli, Turkey.
Arçelik-LG has production facilities over 70.000 m² total area (enclosed area is 55.000 m²). The company is the first and the biggest AC producer in Turkey. Arçelik-LG has the biggest production facilities of Near East and Europe with annual capacity of 3 million sets of RAC production capacity (3 shifts). With new investments, the company has been increasing the production capacity and product range every year.
Arçelik-LG is getting closer to its vision of “To be the first choice in Air Conditioning” with its %50 domestic market share and its export to more than 50 countries in Europe, Middle-East, Africa and CIS.
