AREA and WRD announce finalists for 2025 Women in Cooling Video Competition

AREA and World Refrigeration Day (WRD) have announced the finalists for the third edition of the Women in Cooling Video Competition. The initiative highlights the expertise of women in the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sector and is organized annually in collaboration with WRD.

The 2025 competition features two categories: Best RACHP Practices and Excellence in RACHP Design. Winners will be announced during the AREA General Assembly on 23 May 2025 in Istanbul. First-place winners will be invited to the award ceremony in Milan on 12 June 2025, during the 21st European Conference on the Latest Technologies in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. The event is co-organized by UNEP, IIR, AREA, and Centro Studi Galileo. AREA will cover travel and accommodation expenses for the winners through ATF.

Finalists in Category A – Best RACHP Practices are Chloe Jennings (United Kingdom), Almudena Martinez Ocana (Spain), Anna Choma (Poland), Millie Edwards (United Kingdom), Federica Bernardi (Italy), Katie Cronin (Ireland), Madeleine Bergman (Sweden), and Milena Boettcher (Germany).

Finalists in Category B – Excellence in RACHP Design include Araceli Pino (Spain); the team of Hannah Romberg, Katharina Breuer, and Anna Halle (Germany); and Aleksandra Milic (Italy).
