Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. (BAC) has opened its first manufacturing facility in Latin America in Ciénega de Flores, Nuevo León, Mexico. The company said the new plant strengthens its regional manufacturing footprint and expands support for customers across Latin America.
The grand opening ceremony took place on May 27 and included government officials, community leaders, BAC leadership, employees, customers and partners. Attendees included Betsabe Rocha Nieto, Secretaria de Economía, and Miguel Ángel Quiroga Treviño, Mayor of Ciénega de Flores, as well as representatives from Amsted Industries, BAC’s parent company.
BAC said the facility is strategically located with access to major logistics corridors, industrial infrastructure and the region’s manufacturing ecosystem. The site will operate as a distribution and manufacturing center for customers across Latin America.
The opening is part of BAC’s broader global investment initiative to expand manufacturing capabilities. Since 2019, the company has invested in new facilities and operations worldwide.
“The Monterrey plant represents an important milestone for BAC as our first manufacturing facility in Latin America and a key center for driving regional growth,” said José Fernandes, Managing Director for the Americas at BAC. “This facility strengthens our ability to better serve our Latin American customers with enhanced manufacturing, logistics and distribution capabilities.”
