Beijer Ref wins CO2 order in Chile

Beijer Ref wins its first order in Chile for transcritical carbon dioxide (CO2) cooling through its Italian subsidiary SCM Frigo.

This is the first instance of transcritical CO2 refrigeration in Chile, and another step in Beijer Ref’s ambition to be leading the transition to environmentally friendly refrigerants.
The system has been installed in a supermarket for an important Chile retail chain.
The 5,300 m2 store, with 115 cabinets and 30 cold rooms, is built to the highest standards in sustainability. Beijer Ref focus on carbon dioxide and other natural refrigerants is increasingly contributing to lower GWP (Global Warming Potential) emissions.
