BulMag’s First Supermarket in Bulgaria with Hydroloop Glycol R290 Refrigeration

The BulMag supermarket in Varna has become the first of its chain in Bulgaria to operate on a glycol-based refrigeration system with natural refrigerant propane. FREOR gladly contributed to the project by providing the Hydroloop system and Green Wave R290 refrigerated display showcases.

An Example to Follow

Recently refurbished BulMag supermarket is an example to follow as it has incorporated sustainable refrigeration solutions into their strategy. The 1500 m² area supermarket was equipped with FREOR refrigeration cabinets of Green Wave R290 line connected to the Hydroloop refrigeration system. This solution is based on using natural coolants glycol and propane, which have close to zero impact on Ozone Layer Depletion and fully complies with environmental regulations.

BulMag supermarket was equipped with the following FREOR products:

  • Freezer cabinet ERIDA (2,3 m).
  • Chiller cabinets JUPITER (25 m in total), both closed and open front, featuring front LED lighting and front glass, saving up to 15 % of energy.
  • Multidecks JUPITER VISION (12,5 m in total).
  • Display cabinet PLUTON SPACE (2,5 m) operating in stand-alone mode.
  • Bakery counter ELISA S (2,5 m).
  • Refrigerated counter line of DIONA S LG (6,25 m in total) and DIONA S STORAGE (6,25 m in total) with additional space for food storing.

Engineering Towards a Better Future

Today, as energy consumption and leakage of traditional fluorinated gases are increasing areas of concern, FREOR seeks to improve its engineering towards a better future for nature. Therefore, we provide retailers with sustainable refrigeration solutions, oriented towards conscious business development.
