Capital Cooling receives £3.5m funding package

Specialist commercial refrigeration supplier, Capital Cooling, is aiming for huge growth despite the challenging climate with the help of a £3.5m funding facility.

The Scottish-based refrigeration manufacturer has partnered with independent SME funder, Bibby Financial Services (BFS) to support the brand’s continued growth strategy. This will include growing the Capital Cooling product range for new sectors and extending its footprint in existing markets.

The West Lothian business has been designing, manufacturing and distributing commercial refrigeration products and bespoke systems to commercial kitchens across the UK for over 20 years.

Capital Cooling’s ever-growing product range focuses on sustainability and has recently welcomed new products including the innovative Kube Plus and Ultimate coldrooms, as well as a range Ilsa refrigeration equipment.

The firm’s commitment to customer service is also at the forefront of everything. This has allowed Capital Cooling to position itself as one of the UK’s premier, forward-thinking commercial refrigeration suppliers.

Steve Steadman, CEO, Capital Cooling Refrigeration Ltd, said: “BFS’ Corporate team was introduced to us by our mutual owners, Rcapital. The Corporate Manager, David McIntyre, and his team moved quickly to deliver a complex multi-product solution to provide the working capital required to support our internal investment and growth.”

The new facility is expected to play an integral part in Capital Cooling’s plans for expansion as it will free up working capital in order to invest in its people, products and processes.

Steve Steadman adds: “We have been impressed by how quickly BFS was able to structure a funding package that suited our needs. We’re thrilled to partner with the team and look forward to driving the business forwards.” Bibby Financial Services (BFS) is a leading independent financial services partner to over 10,500 businesses across Europe, Asia and North America.
