The “Light Commercial Industry Innovation Center” was set up at the beginning of November to improve the technological level of all light commercial related equipment, including refrigeration and AC equipment, in China.
The innovation center was established by C.A.R., the national commercial refrigeration equipment quality supervision and inspection center, and the Xi’an Jiaotong University, together with 18 related equipment and key component suppliers.
The academic from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ms. Ya-Ling He, was nominated as honorary President, while C.A.R. President Mr. Qingguo Meng is the Innovation Center President.
In the future, the Innovation Center will focus on the introduction and development of new technologies for the light commercial-industrial sectors, with white paper guidelines.
It will also work with national commercial refrigeration equipment quality supervision and inspection center to amend the national light commercial equipment standard.
“CAREL, as a major solution provider for the light commercial and industrial sectors, was invited to help set up the Innovation Center and contribute to the drafting of the industry white paper”, commented Eason Cheng, CAREL Marketing Manager - Refrigeration, APAC. “I will also have an active role inside the Center, as I will be in charge of management of the committee members (2018-2021). I will therefore attend the management committee meetings to define the innovation center’s direction and review the technical white papers, so as to give guidelines to the light-commercial industry”.
