CAREL Group announce that prior to the envisaged 2018 year-end deadline, has completed the transition to version 2015 of the ISO 9001 standard simultaneously at all its seven production plants.
Registration has been issued in accordance with the multisite registration scheme by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance, part of the Lloyd’s Register Group, one of the major independent service providers for ISO certification worldwide. The multisite approach was a CAREL requisite, so as to ensure a Group approach in which the entire CAREL organisation worldwide is considered as a single set of companies that share the same approach. Indeed, all CAREL sites managed the transition to the new revision of the standard together.
The 2015 revision of ISO 9001 represents a significant turning point in quality management through the inclusion of risk/opportunity management, and shifting the focus from quality within the system to an anticipatory approach, which perfectly reflects CAREL’s own quality mission.
Together with the transition to version 2015 of ISO 9001, the Italian production plants have also completed the transition to version 2015 of ISO 14001, the basis for Environmental System Management that has undergone the same improvement process as its “twin” standard 9001, as well as observance of the OHSAS 18001 standard regarding occupational health and safety. As regards the transition to the new ISO 14001, CAREL is currently actively introducing, as promoted by the 2015 version, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA). With this new development, together with the implementation of Italian Law 231/01, CAREL has, in all of its actions, demonstrated complete commitment to an ethical business approach and the highest environmental responsibility.
