CAREL has supplied the University of Rijeva the CO2 installation

Training is one of the main aspects of the industrial philosophy CAREL has adopted, and is considered an essential element for the rapid evolution of markets and technologies in the HVAC/R sector. For this reason, and in order to guarantee the highest level of professionalism across all company areas, CAREL has historically provided training and personnel development programs.

This philosophy is also seen in the company’s investments in training outside of its own boundaries, through various partnerships with universities. Contributing to the training of university students means guaranteeing a future for the sector through highly-qualified personnel. As part of this philosophy, CAREL, together with its Croatian distributor MB Frigo Grupa, has supplied the University of Rijeva the materials needed to build a CO2 installation.

The installation comprises an “ARCTIC” condensing unit developed by MB Frigo Grupa, featuring the CAREL high-efficiency solution with natural refrigerants (Hecu CO2 ) based on DC technology. The installation also includes a cold room managed by UltraCella and EVD ice, as well as the boss mini local supervision system and EnergyMeters for energy management and remote control of the unit.

“Thanks to this installation, students can test new BLDC technology with CO2, a natural refrigerant”, commented Branimir Pavkovic, Professor at Faculty of Engineering RITEH, University of Rijeka. “Moreover, refrigeration technicians can use it to earn their professional certificate of qualification. The installation represents added value for our department and a source of growth for the training of future Croatian professionals”.
