Carrier China Unveils 6000RT Capacity Water-Cooled Chiller Performance Testing Lab

Yi-Leng Carrier Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. (Carrier China) officially unveiled its 6000RT capacity water-cooled chiller performance testing lab at its new manufacturing location in Baoshan Industrial Park, Shanghai. The testing lab is now one of the largest of its kind in China and will test Carrier chillers with up to 6000RT capacity for customers. Representatives from Shanghai Baoshan District, Shanghai Baoshan Industrial Park, Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company and North Power Supply Branch and other distinguished guests attended the official launch ceremony and witnessed the milestone completion of the project. 

The AHRI and GMPI certified 6000RT water-cooled chiller performance testing lab can provide both 50Hz/60Hz power and support to high voltage applications, meeting different customer requirements across vertical segments and regions. The new lab will be able to test 2000 to 6000RT capacity range water-cooled chillers to support a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC solutions and applications.

At the launch ceremony, Titus Yu, managing director, Carrier Commercial HVAC North Asia; He Wei, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Mechanical and Electrical Industry Co., Ltd; Ping SU, Deputy Director of Baoshan District and member of the standing committee; and Zhengrong Wu, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai North Power Supply Branch of State Grid, delivered remarks.

"Congratulations on the official launch of the Carrier 6000RT water-cooled testing lab in Shanghai Baoshan Industrial Park, a remarkable project to all of us,” said Ping SU in his delivered remarks. “We were deeply impressed by Carrier’s continued investments in innovative, energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC product and solution development in China and globally. We are confident that high-technology enterprises like Carrier will continue to drive new innovations and solutions to the forefront to support and accelerate the development of the HVAC industry."
