Carrier Expands Made in India HVAC Product Portfolio

Carrier has expanded its HVAC products made in India with a range of air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units (FCUs). These units are crafted to meet the diverse needs of India’s commercial buildings, providing custom solutions for healthy indoor environments with high-efficiency air filtering needs.

The expansion from products such as air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, packaged light commercial units and cassette and hi-wall split-system air conditioners to FCUs and AHUs affirms more than a five-decade manufacturing presence in India. It also includes a 10-year commitment to India's growth and progress under India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. The domestically manufactured HVAC products enhance accessibility, expand the service network and increase support to different channels.

The AHUs and FCUs are optimal solutions for applications in India’s healthcare, manufacturing and hospitality segments. They are also being used in infrastructure projects with railways and airports.

The patented casing design ensures exceptional structural integrity to improve heat transfer using less parts. The direct-driven plug fans and minimal maintenance required by Carrier’s AHUs are designed to achieve customers energy efficiency and sustainability goals. Carrier's AHUs are certified by Eurovent, a world leader in third-party product performance certification in the heating, ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration fields, symbolizing industry-leading performance.

“We have long been experts designing and manufacturing chillers,” said Dhiraj Wadhwa, Director of Applied Sales and Overseas Markets, Carrier. “The addition of the AHUs and FCUs airside units to our portfolio underscores our commitment to comprehensive and sustainable lifecycle HVAC solutions. We take pride in being a long standing, trusted and sustainable partner that delivers customer-centric solutions in the HVAC industry."
