SPAR Hungary has selected Carrier Commercial Refrigeration’s new Danaos Total Transparency service counters and the award-winning Optimer low front cabinets for two newly-refurbished INTERSPAR hypermarkets. Carrier, which operates in Hungary as Carrier Commercial Refrigeration Hungary, is a world leader in high-technology heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration solutions, and is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
The Danaos Total Transparency service counters and Optimer low front plug-in multideck cabinets, along with other Carrier refrigerated display cabinets will be featured in the newly refurbished INTERSPAR Pesterzsébet hypermarket in Budapest, as well as the new INTERSPAR Érd hypermarket, near Budapest. The new stores are designed to focus on SPAR’s high standards in energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and enhanced product display using natural materials.

The pedestals are covered with wooden cladding to create a natural atmosphere.”
The Optimer low front refrigerated plug-in multi-deck cabinet – named at EuroShop 2017 as the most efficient cabinet in the vertical refrigerated display category by ProCold, an independent EU project to promote energy efficiency and the transition to environmentally sustainable refrigerants in plug-in refrigerators – maximizes product display area while minimizing operation costs. The cabinet has a lower front height with a compact machine compartment allowing for an additional display shelf that increases merchandising space, which optimizes floor space productivity. Using the environmentally sustainable natural refrigerant, propane (R290), this efficient cabinet features energy saving fans and Carrier’s specially designed LED lights that can reduce energy consumption by up to 61 percent versus its predecessor.
