1300 m² academy offers hands-on training with Carrier, Toshiba, Viessmann and Vokèra systems.
Carrier Solutions UK has launched its new flagship training academy in Stockport, offering a dedicated education hub for HVAC engineers across the UK. The 1300 m² (approx. 13,993 ft²) facility has been transformed from a former warehouse into a purpose-built centre of excellence, supporting professional development on advanced heating and cooling technologies.
The academy provides practical, multi-brand training on Carrier and Toshiba residential and light commercial systems, including air-to-air and air-to-water heat pumps, SHRM Advanced VRF systems, boilers, and digital controllers. It also incorporates heating products from Viessmann and Vokèra, enabling engineers to gain practical skills across a broad product range.
The site includes F-Gas training rigs for certification and is accredited as a BPEC training centre, allowing participants to gain industry-recognised qualifications. Trainees completing courses will be able to offer services with the backing of a 10-year warranty.
“This investment in training excellence is a major step in supporting the future of the UK’s HVAC industry,” said David Dunn, Managing Director, UK&I, Carrier RLC EMEA. “We are committed to equipping engineers across the country with the knowledge and expertise they need to work with the most advanced solutions available today.”
The opening event included a facility tour for industry stakeholders and a ribbon-cutting ceremony with England rugby internationals George Ford and Ben Curry.
The Stockport facility is the first in a planned network of Carrier Solutions UK training centres, with new locations in Wakefield, Telford, London Colney, and Plymouth scheduled to open later this year.
“Our goal is to make high-quality training accessible to engineers nationwide,” added Dunn. “By expanding our network of brand-standard training centres, we are ensuring that professionals up and down the country can train on all the equipment from across the Carrier Solutions UK portfolio, be backed by a 10-year warranty, and remain at the forefront of HVAC innovation.”
