Carrier Transicold Container Refrigeration Solutions at Fruit Logistica for First Time

Container refrigeration innovator Carrier Transicold is headed to Fruit Logistica, the leading global fresh produce industry trade fair, Feb. 7-9, at the Berlin ExpoCenter City and City Cube. For its inaugural exhibit, Carrier Transicold will showcase the benefits of its XtendFRESH system, the only container atmosphere control technology for protecting perishables that includes an integral ethylene removal capability, and will spotlight other contributions to global trade in commemoration of the golden anniversary of Carrier’s front-wall container refrigeration system design. Carrier Transicold is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. “As greater volumes and varieties of perishable goods travel the world via shipping container, the majority of them are protected by Carrier Transicold refrigeration systems,” said Willy Yeo, director of marketing, global container refrigeration, Carrier Transicold. “Newer technologies, such as our XtendFRESH atmosphere control system, enable produce to be better preserved over longer voyages, helping growers to reach consumers in new and more remote regions.” Carrier Traniscold leads the container refrigeration industry with its innovative PrimeLINE and NaturaLINE container refrigeration systems. For each of the last 10 years since its introduction, the PrimeLINE refrigeration system has outsold the competition thanks to a suite of performance attributes that include high efficiency, temperature control, pulldown speed and air flow, to name a few. The more recently introduced NaturaLINE unit matches the PrimeLINE in many respects. The NaturaLINE unit adds the use of the natural refrigerant carbon dioxide, with an ultra-low global warming potential of 1, to its sustainability profile. “Fruit Logistica provides an ideal opportunity to connect with exporters, importers and others invested in produce trade to demonstrate how these technologies can help them,” Yeo said.
