City moves into European market with Lesprit Ltd acquisition

City Facilities Management Ltd has confirmed the acquisition of Lesprit Ltd which trades as Maintenance Management Ltd (MML) in the UK and Atrium Maintenance France (AMF) in Europe. The acquisition will mean both MML and AMF will become part of the wider City group, whilst continuing to operate from their respective head offices in Milton Keynes and Lille, France. City, one of the world’s largest, privately owned facilities management (FM) companies has now extended its footprint into Europe, in addition to strengthening its existing business in the UK. The acquisition provides an exit for Lesprit's institutional investor, LDC, which originally invested in the business in 2012. Michael Hughes, chief executive officer for City Facilities Management Ltd said: “This acquisition forms part of City’s long term strategy to extend our global reach and we now have almost 13,000 employees operating across five continents, spanning the UK, Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. “There is a great deal of synergy between City and the MML and AMF businesses and we share in the belief of not only delivering world class services but also constantly innovating to maintain long term partnerships with our customers. “We are delighted to welcome both businesses to the City group and very much look forward to working with their management team and colleagues to develop and nurture existing relationships with some of the UK and Europe’s leading retailers.” Read More
