Climaveneta units installed at the White Collar Factory

Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems, though its brand Climaveneta, has supplied the HVAC units for the newly opened White Collar Factory, a mixed use development at Old Street / Silicon Roundabout in London. White Collar Factory offers an architectural philosophy for modern office workspaces that is focused on sustainability. The ambitious White Collar Factory project is the fruit of the eight-year research initiative between Derwent London and AHMM, and combines the look of a well-built industrial space with modern office design. The 293,000 sq ft mixed-use development includes a 16-storey 237,000 sq ft office tower, the tower forms part of a new urban campus with a further 56,000 sq ft of offices, studios, incubator space, restaurants and apartments, set around a new landscaped area of public realm, ‘Old Street Yard’. The HVAC system is an excellent example of sustainability and efficiency and is based on 2 Climaveneta branded water cooled chillers TECS2 W/LC S 1453, with a total cooling capacity of 2922kW. These units are characterized by oil-free centrifugal compressors that allow very high full and partial load efficiency levels, in addition the units were selected in the low condensing version to work with the closed cooling towers.
