Cool Designs Ltd Expands Team Amid Growing UK Market Presence
To support its continuing growth across the UK, Cool Designs Ltd, an independent air conditioning and heat pump distributor, has strengthened its technical and customer support team with key appointments. The expansion is aimed at enhancing the company's capabilities in managing and executing projects involving advanced HVAC technologies.

Joining the team as Contracts Manager, Clive Dearlove will oversee applied projects focused on chillers and air source heat pumps, from order placement through to delivery, while also providing technical after-sales support. With 30 years of experience, Clive brings extensive knowledge of chiller and HVAC plant installation and servicing.

Nathan Ormson has been appointed as Technical Support Engineer, serving as a pivotal point for CDL's technical team. His role will involve managing the technical support line and facilitating the company's technical experts' work on customer sites, utilizing his expertise in DX air conditioning technologies.

Colin Reeves takes on the position of Technical Pre-Sales Engineer, assisting customers and CDL staff with the selection and application of Toshiba and Fujitsu VRF systems. His role is integral to ensuring that customers receive tailored solutions for their HVAC needs.

CDL's managing director, Darrel Birkett, emphasized the importance of the new appointments in enhancing the company's ability to deliver comprehensive HVAC solutions. He noted that the diverse equipment range offered by CDL, including brands like Toshiba, Carrier, CIAT, and Fujitsu, positions the company well to support integrated projects aimed at achieving net zero goals.

To accommodate its expanding operations, CDL has recently opened a new branch in Holmes Chapel, near Crewe. This facility features a showroom, offices, and an additional 11,000 square feet of warehouse space, bolstering the company's ability to serve its growing customer base.

These developments mark significant milestones for CDL, which has evolved from a regional air conditioning supplier in 2003 to a national distributor with a turnover approaching £30 million, providing comprehensive support across the UK.
