Daikin Italia has announced the appointment of Hiroshi Shimada as CEO and President of Daikin Air Conditioning Italy, effective 1 January 2026.
Shimada has more than 30 years of experience at Daikin and an international track record across the United States, the Middle East, and Europe. He succeeds Geert Vos, who will take on a new strategic role within Daikin Europe N.V.
Already Vice President of Daikin Italia since December 2023, Shimada will lead the company into a new phase of consolidation and growth. The stated objectives include strengthening market leadership, accelerating work on heating, integrated solutions and high-value services, promoting innovation, sustainability and energy efficiency, enhancing people development, internal growth and the circulation of ideas, and making digital transformation an enabler of new ways of working and collaborating.
