The UK’s Heat Pump Association (HPA) has appointed Chris Taylor-Hamlin, Senior Environment Research Manager at Daikin, as its next Vice Chair. He will officially assume the role in September 2025.
Taylor-Hamlin has been actively involved in the HPA and brings extensive experience in the renewable heating sector and trade associations. His appointment comes as the UK heat pump industry continues to play a key role in the country’s decarbonisation efforts.
Craig Dolan will remain Chair of the HPA until September 2025. Mark Wilkins, currently Vice Chair, will then become Chair, with Taylor-Hamlin stepping into the Vice Chair position.
“It’s an honour to have been voted in by the members as Vice Chair of the HPA,” said Taylor-Hamlin. “There remains a lot of work to do via the HPA to aid governments, the regions and the country as a whole to reach the necessary decarbonisation targets.”
Charlotte Lee, Chief Executive of the HPA, welcomed the appointment, stating: “His deep industry knowledge, Association experience and commitment to advancing collaboration between the members makes him an ideal fit for this role.”
