Daikin Industries, Ltd. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Dynamic Data Centers Solutions, Inc. (DDC Solutions), a U.S. company specializing in cooling systems for AI data centers. The transaction will be carried out through Daikin Applied Americas Inc. (DAA), the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary headquartered in Minneapolis, MN.
DDC Solutions, based in San Diego, CA, develops server rack-level cooling technologies and proprietary equipment management systems. Its solutions enable real-time analysis and automatic control of power consumption and heat generation at the rack level, helping data centers manage rising electricity use and heat output caused by AI-driven processing demands.
Daikin plans to integrate DDC Solutions’ individual server cooling technology with DAA’s large-scale commercial air conditioning and control systems. This will allow the company to offer a comprehensive cooling portfolio for AI data centers, addressing customer needs from rack-level to facility-level solutions.
The acquisition is expected to close by late August 2025, subject to the completion of required procedures. After the deal is finalized, Daikin intends to provide further information on the acquisition objectives and subsequent business development plans.
