Daikin UK reaches 1000 R32 training total

Daikin UK has successfully trained 1,000 installers on the use of R32 refrigerant since the launch of the ‘R32 System Installations - Are You Ready?’ course in November 2016. Training more than 500 engineers since February, Daikin UK is continuing to lead the way, offering both practical and technical insight to the environmentally friendly refrigerant. Designed and launched by Daikin UK and delivered at its nationwide training facilities, the course provides installers with the essentials on installing, commissioning and servicing R32 systems, inline with the 2015 F-gas regulations and EN378 update. The R32 System Installations - Are You Ready? programme also details the current Daikin UK 2017 product line-up, including the multiple-award-shortlisted and installer-friendly Sky Air A-series featuring both Bluevolution and Variable Refrigerant Technology. In addition, the course features a question and answer session on safety considerations including transporting and storing R32. With forthcoming course dates scheduled to run in Woking, Glasgow, Bristol, Manchester and Birmingham, the consistently successful training initiative has trained more than 500 companies and 1,000 HVAC professionals across the UK. Positive feedback includes: James Sheppard, Technical Director at Royale Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, said: “The guys who have completed the training course in Woking have found it informative, while gaining a key understanding of the tools required for R32.” “Very informative, I now have all the information I need to install R32 equipment.” “No problem with R32, much the same as R410A.” “I thought there was a problem with R32 – now I know it is fine to use.” “R410A prices are going up a lot so worth thinking about R32 as an alternative.” Martin Passingham, Project Manager for DX at Daikin UK, said: “Reaching this incredible target of 1,000 trained installers is a clear demonstration of the on going need to understand the continuing changes, legislative drivers and practicalities throughout the sector’s F-Gas journey. “With the launch of comprehensive R32-based product ranges such as the innovative Sky Air A-series, specialist manufacturer training equips installers with the peace of mind to adopt environmentally friendly, energy efficient refrigerants inline with the F-Gas phase out.”
