Danfoss compressors cool tons of sea water

Traditionally, Danfoss refrigeration segment products are used for air cooling, for example in air conditioning, but they can be used in any systems on compatible refrigerants.

Recently this was confirmed by the California company Aqua Logic, which produces equipment for aquariums, aquariums and water parks. The engineers of Aqua Logic faced the challenge of creating the largest ever chiller in the history of the company, capable of cooling 100 tons of sea water.

Together with specialists from Danfoss, an output was found: to combine 4 spiral compressors with a capacity of 25 l / s. This is not the first joint project of the two companies, but it is definitely the largest in the history of cooperation. Despite the non-standard application, this decision confirmed the reputation of Danfoss as a manufacturer of high-quality equipment. According to Kurt Epps, representative of the Aqua Logic sales department, "compressors work flawlessly."
