Eberspaecher has launched a new production facility in Przylesie, Poland, boosting its capacity for bus thermal management systems by 30%. This expansion supports the rising demand for electric city buses and coaches.
The facility spans 12,500 square meters and plans to produce up to 20,000 systems annually. Eberspaecher executives, along with local officials, attended the inauguration ceremony.
Meeting E-Mobility Needs
"The increasing demand for electric buses requires us to expand our capacities for bus air conditioning systems," stated Jörg Steins, CEO of Eberspaecher Group. The new plant builds on seven years of operations in Poland and replaces the previous production site in Olawa.
Initially, 100 employees have transitioned to the new facility, with plans to expand to 150 within five years. Eberspaecher will begin series production of the AC138 EVO thermal management system for electric buses and coaches in January 2025.
Commitment to Sustainability
The Przylesie plant significantly reduces CO₂ emissions and energy usage, thanks to a photovoltaic system and heat pump technology.
Introducing AC138 EVO
The facility will also produce the AC138 EVO, a cutting-edge system featuring patented air circuit reversal technology, designed for hybrid and battery-electric buses. The AC138 EVO uses the eco-friendly refrigerant CO₂ (R744) and combines low complexity with high energy efficiency.
Through this new plant, Eberspaecher reinforces its dedication to sustainable mobility and addressing the e-mobility market's evolving demands.
