ebm-papst expanding Group Management Johannes Pfeffer appointed as new member

Effective as of 1 April 2020, Johannes Pfeffer (52), who so far has served as spokesman of the management board of the subsidiary ebm-papst St. Georgen GmbH & Co.KG, will be part of the Management Board of the ebm-papst Group with its headquarters in Mulfingen.

In his new function, he will head and strategically develop diverse business segments of the technological specialist in fans and motors. With Johannes Pfeffer being appointed to this new position, Raymond Engelbrecht will now have sole responsibility for the management of ebm-papst St. Georgen.

Together with Mr. Engelbrecht, Mr. Pfeffer has done an excellent job in St. Georgen; his future-oriented approach has put the subsidiary and its plants in Lauf and Herbolzheim back on track for success.”

Vita Johannes Pfeffer

Johannes Pfeffer studied physics at the Eberhard Karl university in Tübingen. In 1994, he started his professional career with the IT and metrology specialist Hewlett Packard. From 1999 to 2009, the graduate physicist, who also holds a degree in MBA from the Steinbeis Hochschule für Unternehmensführung/Steinbeis Graduate School of Management in Stuttgart, worked for the automotive supplier Behr in various management functions.

From 2009 to 2017, Johannes Pfeffer served as CEO for the Automation & Control division of the US-American automation specialist Belden. From 2018 to now, Pfeffer was spokesman of the Management Board with ebm-papst St. Georgen and was, among other things, responsible for the drive engineering and automotive division and held functional responsibility for Sales, Business Segment Development, Production and Development.
