Emerson Recognized for App Innovation in Cargo Tracking

Emerson got award a Silver Medal for the Macfrut Innovation Award at Macfrut 2018. It’s Cargo Solutions business has been recognized for its technology innovation with the Oversight Mobile application. Oversight Mobile focuses on food quality and safety, enabling users to view critical shipment details in real-time throughout the cold chain. The award ceremony took place on May 9th during the Macfrut Expo held May 9-11. Gerd Uitdewilligen, director of international sales for Cargo Solutions for Emerson was on hand to accept the award presented by president of Cesena Fiere, Renzo Piraccini and Antonio Boschetti, director of L'Informatore Agrario. Macfrut is a leading international trade fair for professionals operating in the fruit and vegetable sector in Italy and Europe.



 The Oversight Mobile app enables users with a cellular connection to view critical shipment details in real-time in conjunction with Emerson’s GO Tracker product line. GO Trackers are placed on perishable shipments and communicate data via cellular connectivity. The application gives users an invaluable business tool via their smart phone, with access to a host of key data points including temperature, location details, trip duration and provides global visibility with alerts via email or text for shipments that may have been compromised.The Oversight Mobile app is Android™ and iOS compatible and available in several languages including English, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Turkish and French.
