Enex Technologies Achieves ISO 14064 Certification for Carbon Footprint Reporting

Enex Technologies has obtained the ISO 14064-1:2018 certification for its Enex and Emicon sites in Italy. The internationally recognized standard verifies the company’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions inventory and its approach to managing and reducing emissions.

Following a detailed audit, Enex Technologies reported a total GHG output of 20,396 tCO₂eq in 2023. The certified emissions cover:

  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from gas combustion and the company fleet.
  • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from imported energy.
  • Scope 3: Indirect emissions from transport (employee commuting, logistics, business travel) and materials used in production.

The company calculated its emissions using activity data and emission factors from the IPCC 2023 guidelines. This certification strengthens its commitment to transparency and accountability in emissions management.

"This certification is not just a badge of honor; it represents a deep-rooted commitment to implementing the highest international standards for sustainability reporting," said François Audo, CEO of Enex Technologies. "By gaining a comprehensive understanding of our manufacturing footprint and environmental impact, we are taking a vital and proactive step toward defining a more genuine and effective reduction strategy. As we look ahead, we are excited to leverage this data for continuous optimization."

In the past nine months, Enex Technologies has accelerated its Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, launching its first Sustainability Policy and joining the United Nations Global Compact Network. The company was also recognized by Ecovadis for its sustainability efforts, scoring significantly above the industry average.

With a history dating back to the 1930s, Enex Technologies continues to develop efficient, natural refrigerant-based solutions while enhancing transparency in emissions reporting.
