Space Engineering Services has launched its new Apprenticeship Scheme, creating the ideal opportunity for those ready to pursue a lifelong career in engineering.
The intensive Apprentices Scheme will bring individuals into the engineering sector through a programme of accelerated learning and skill development in commercial refrigeration. They'll receive hands-on experience, combined with technical college, with support from mentors, college tutors and experienced engineers.
Applications are now open to individuals who are enthusiastic, conscientious, self-disciplined, and searching for a career in engineering. It's the ideal way to work towards an industry-recognised qualification while earning a wage from the outset.
The scheme, which has been developed in partnership with Cool Concerns, will enable apprentices to develop high level skills and expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering practices, opening doors to a range of career paths in an incredibly interesting and diverse sector.
Mark Woods, Joint Managing Director at Space Engineering Services, said: "At Space Engineering Services, we recognise the vital importance of attracting new talent to the refrigeration and air conditioning industry. Engineering is such a diverse sector with fantastic career opportunities, so we’re really pleased to be able to launch this apprenticeship scheme. Our apprentices get the best of both worlds – on the job experience, technical skills and knowledge, and a wage whilst they work towards an industry-recognised qualification."
At the end of the programme, apprentices will have:
- A recognised qualification as a Refrigeration Engineer
- 6 to 12 months hands-on experience at Space Engineering Services, one of the UK’s leading refrigeration companies
- Job security with excellent future employment prospects
