AEFYT, Association of Cold Companies and their Technologies, opens the registration for the 2nd Online Refrigeration Course, one of the most extensive and complete training programs of the representative cold association in Spain. The course, taught in mixed modality -online with live sessions-, will begin on January 21st and will close on December 15th, 2022 adding 350 teaching hours. As a novelty, the course will close with a closing session with a visit to the production plant or an equivalent activity.
The objective of the course is for students to know the general principles of refrigeration. You will learn how to classify and design refrigeration facilities of any type, how to apply the determination of PCA, COP and TEWI for direct and indirect refrigerants and systems, and how to calculate thermal loads of facilities and refrigerants. In addition, at the end of the course, they should know how to select and calculate components of refrigeration systems and know how pressure and vacuum tests are carried out. Given the intense regulatory activity that has taken place in recent years, a module is also contemplated to prepare documentation for the development of the refrigeration activity in accordance with current legislation.
And finally, the program also addresses the great challenge shared by the sector, the rest of the industry and society as a whole: the ecological transition. Thus, the course will deal with environmental problems associated with refrigeration technology, its mechanisms of action and its minimization with existing technologies, as well as evaluating scientific and independent criteria for decision-making regarding the application of refrigeration systems. and to the conservation of the environment.
The AEFYT Refrigeration Course is aimed at design engineers of refrigeration facilities, heads of engineering, qualified refrigeration installers, maintenance managers and security managers of refrigeration facilities in multipurpose cold stores, ice factories, dairy plants and dairy industries, etc. ; as well as refrigerators, mechanics and technicians with knowledge of refrigeration who seek to expand their knowledge of industrial facilities.
Finally, the course has a group of teachers where theoretical excellence is combined with practical experience. Professionals from the associated companies Coldsulting, Frost-Trol, Delta T Procesos Térmicos and Johnson Controls will accompany professors Ricardo Giménez and Félix Sanz during the different sessions.
“We usually carry out courses that address specific aspects of refrigeration in order to keep engineers and technicians up-to-date on the latest developments in the sector, but the Refrigeration Course, which reaches its second edition, goes much further to delve into the great majority of the knowledge that, today, is fundamental for anyone who works in the refrigeration sector ”, said Manuel Lamúa, manager of AEFYT.
