Eurovent: New Recommendation for A-A Process and IT Cooling
The Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Conditioners’ (PG-AC) has released a new recommendation on the rating points for air-air process and IT cooling. The recommendation is ready for download on the Eurovent website.

The new Eurovent Recommendation 11/1 proposes a new definition and two methodologies to address the air-air process and IT cooling in the context of the revision of the Ecodesign Regulation (EU) 2016/2281. The definition and the methodologies derive from the existing Regulation or the existing standard EN 14825. The Recommendation aims to include all IT cooling or close control air-air air conditioners under the Regulation that will replace the existing (EU) 2016/2281 regardless of the capacity.

Massimiliano Ferrario, Secretary of the Eurovent PG-AC, stated: “Through collaborative efforts among the different companies, the Eurovent Product Group ‘Air Conditioners’ achieved this important result in a rising market that still needs to be regulated, such as IT cooling. This well exemplifies Eurovent’s strength in uniting the industry and shaping the future. This approach is a win-win situation since the industry can identify and propose initiatives and then cooperate with the legislator for a regulation that benefits all parties involved.”

This document was published by Eurovent and was prepared in a joint effort by participants of the Product Group ‘Air Conditioners’ (PG-AC), which represents a vast majority of all manufacturers of these products active on the EMEA market.
