The Eurovent Product Group ‘Residential Ventilation Systems’ (PG-RVS) has confirmed its leadership team with the re-election of Xavier Boulanger as Chairperson and the election of Arie Veldhuijzen as Vice-Chairperson.
Boulanger, Training and Application Manager at ALDES, continues in his role after leading initiatives on indoor air quality, energy efficiency, and regulatory developments in the residential ventilation sector. His re-election reflects ongoing confidence in his strategic direction within the group.
Arie Veldhuijzen, Director of Innovation – IP – EU Policies at Zehnder Group International AG, joins as Vice-Chairperson. His experience in product innovation and regulatory matters brings additional expertise to the group’s activities.
“It is an honour to be able to lead our working group towards the near future improvement of the Eco Design Regulation and the associated product label for our residential ventilation products,” Boulanger said. He emphasized the importance of aligning with EPBD directives to ensure proper ventilation system use, commissioning, and overall performance in buildings.
Veldhuijzen stated: “It is clear that working on joint positions and joint documents in our group contributes concretely to improving future EU regulations... There is still great potential here. I’m eager to contribute and to support our group and Chairperson Xavier.”
Eurovent PG-RVS covers residential ventilation units (bidirectional and unidirectional) and system components such as ductwork, IAQ sensors, and VAV valves. It collaborates with other Eurovent Product Groups focused on specific components, including air filters, energy recovery components, and fans.
