Eurovent Product Group ‘Evaporative Cooling Equipment’ Re-Elects Chairperson and Welcomes New Vice-Chairperson

The Eurovent Product Group ‘Evaporative Cooling Equipment’ (PG-CT) has re-elected Laurent Petiot from Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) as Chairperson and appointed Nicolo Passaro from MITA Cooling Technologies as the new Vice-Chairperson. This decision came during the recent PG-CT meeting held in Brussels, where members affirmed their trust in these industry leaders for the upcoming two-year term.

Laurent Petiot, serving as General Manager for France, Benelux, and Maghreb at Baltimore Aircoil Company EMENA, continues his role as Chairperson after contributing over 30 years of expertise in heat transfer and the cooling tower industry. His extensive knowledge has been pivotal in leading discussions and initiatives within the group.

The newly elected Vice-Chairperson, Nicolo Passaro, who holds the position of Technical Marketing Manager at MITA Cooling Technologies, fills a role that has been vacant for the past two years. Passaro, a committed participant in PG-CT, brings vast experience in the cooling equipment sector and is known for his active involvement and innovative perspectives.

Passaro emphasized the importance of fostering greater participation among manufacturers and stakeholders to enhance group initiatives. He highlighted the need for effective communication and promotion of the group’s activities to underscore the significance of evaporative cooling technology, noting its proven efficiency and substantial market benefits.

PG-CT is the primary working group under Eurovent dedicated to manufacturers of evaporative cooling equipment, encompassing wet cooling towers, open circuit and closed circuit towers, fluid coolers, evaporative condensers, and hybrid models. The group also addresses components related to these products, such as fans and drift eliminators. The PG-CT includes members from across the EU and Türkiye, with national support from Eurovent Member Associations.

This leadership team is expected to drive forward the agenda of innovation and collaboration in the industry, ensuring that the group remains a key voice in promoting the relevance and benefits of evaporative cooling solutions.
