Frascold Joins DTI's European InterHeat Project to Drive Innovation
Frascold, a key player in semi-hermetic compressor development for refrigeration and heating industries, is advancing technological innovation through its involvement in the European InterHeat project. Launched by the Danish Technological Institute (DTI), this initiative showcases the efficiency of ultra-high-temperature heat pumps in modern industrial applications, promoting energy efficiency and decarbonizing production processes.

Frascold has provided two compact CX ATEX screw semi-hermetic compressors, which operate at temperatures above 100°C, suitable for food, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors needing high temperatures for processes like sterilization and drying.

Marco Perri, R&D Manager at Frascold, emphasized their dedication to sustainability, noting, "Frascold sees the InterHeat project as an opportunity to accelerate the adoption of more sustainable and efficient technologies in the industrial sector."

Currently testing at DTI’s lab, the high-temperature heat pump aims to achieve production temperatures between 150°C and 160°C. Success in testing will lead to its integration into a protein powder drying process.

Beyond manufacturing, Frascold specializes in custom temperature solutions, offering prototypes tailored to specific needs, ensuring maximum efficiency and adaptability across various industrial applications.

Frascold’s role in the InterHeat project underscores its commitment to sustainable energy solutions, reinforcing its industry leadership in innovating for an environmentally respectful future.
