Frigoglass Group has received two honors at the 2025 Energy Efficiency Awards in Greece for its new range of Class A beverage coolers. The company was awarded a Bronze in the “Energy Efficient & Saving Products, Technologies, and Services” category and a Silver in the “Energy Innovation” category.
The awarded coolers are promoted as the first Class A beverage coolers worldwide, designed to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions while delivering high performance. According to the company, replacing 100,000 older units with these new models would reduce emissions by 32,850 tons of CO₂ annually, which it equates to the environmental impact of planting 1.5 million trees.
The new range includes two models of different capacities. Key technical features include high-efficiency fans, energy-saving compressors, low-consumption LED lighting, use of R290 refrigerant, upgraded insulation, and smart electronic controls. The coolers also feature a modern design and low-noise operation.
“The Class A coolers are not just a milestone in the evolution of commercial refrigeration – they are proof that innovation can deliver immediate positive impact to the market and the environment,” said Hector Pergamalis, Chief Operating Officer of Commercial Coolers at Frigoglass.
The coolers were previously presented at the BrauBeviale trade fair, where they also received the Technology Innovation Award at the FoodBev Awards.
