Güntner outlines 2026 strategy focused on efficiency, digitalisation and sustainability

With the global HVAC-R market projected to exceed USD 210 billion in 2026, Güntner has presented its annual outlook, highlighting key growth drivers and its strategic response to industry demands. Urbanisation, decarbonisation of buildings, and the expansion of data centres are expected to accelerate demand for energy-efficient and regulation-compliant systems.

In this context, Güntner emphasises its role as a supplier of efficient and reliable components, underlining the importance of advanced heat exchanger technology in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving system performance. The company also highlights planning reliability through its global production network and supply chain resilience, alongside a holistic offering that combines hardware, digital tools and technical support.

“Together with our customers, we are focused on achieving even better, measurable results and actively shaping the transformation of the industry,” said Michael Bauer, Head of Sales, Growth and Success.

According to Michael Freiherr, Head of Technologies & Innovation, the company is responding to industry challenges, particularly in the German mechanical and plant engineering sector, with a clear commitment to growth through targeted investments in research and digitalisation.

Güntner’s 2026 strategy is structured around three pillars: high-efficiency heat exchanger design for low energy consumption and regulatory compliance; smart digital solutions like the aicore™ IoT gateway and the myGüntner platform for predictive maintenance and simplified planning; and a product portfolio compatible with natural refrigerants to support decarbonisation goals.

“We are investing in the future – and in technologies that deliver real added value for our customers,” Freiherr stated.
