Gree Wins Bid for Huawei Data Center Again

Recently, Gree has successfully won the bid for the T4 project of Huawei Cloud Tuanbowa Data Center in Songshan Lake, Dongguan City. Before then, Gree already won the bidding for the T2 and T3 projects of the same data center. Now this data center has altogether adopted 72 sets of our high-efficiency modular integrated cooling stations including 30 water-cooled chillers, with the total refrigeration capacity of the centrifugal chillers reaching 32,400 RT.

Located in Songshan Lake, Dongguan City, this 2nd generation enterprise data center of Huawei occupies a land area of 73,000 square meters. With 8,000 racks in terms of IDC scale, it is called the “Heart of Huawei”. It will become one of the bases for Huawei to achieve its development goal in the next 10-15 years and serve more than 170,000 people in 170 countries and regions. This industry park is divided into 4 PODs and each POD adopts prefabricated modular design to realize the modularization of water power system. As to the close control building, it adopts 5-layer stacking “container” design. Because of the highly modularized design, it only takes 4 months for the data center to complete construction and be put into use.

The unit that won the bid this time is Gree CVT Series Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Inverter Centrifugal Chiller, which is identified by authorized experts as “world-leading” and was selected to be the “Advanced and Applicable Technological Product for Green Data Center” in 2019 by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The other unit chosen by this project is Gree 10kV Autotransformer Type Centrifugal Chiller, which adopts two-stage compression technology and multiple noise reduction technologies. Our modular integrated cooling station equipped with the high-efficiency Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Inverter Centrifugal Chiller / 10kV Autotransformer Type Centrifugal Chiller is highly efficient, energy-saving, safe and reliable, featuring short delivery time, simple operation and maintenance.

By virtue of its excellent performance, Gree Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Inverter Centrifugal Chiller is not only favored by the data center of Huawei Cloud, but is also used in many significant projects including Alibaba Jiangsu Cloud Computing Data Center, GDS Beijing Daxing Airport, JD Cloud (East China) Data Center and the China Telecom Cloud Computing Guizhou Information Park, which have demonstrated the powerful strength of Gree brand and its products.
