Guidance for Changes to the Use of R404A

The F-Gas Regulations are having an increasing effect on the way the refrigeration industry works.

As of 1st January 2020, legislative changes will see the end of virgin refrigerants with a GWP of 2500 or greater being used in new installations.

Maintenance is also affected as systems with a charge size of 40T CO2 equivalent or greater can no longer be serviced using virgin material with this ‘high’ GWP.

A-Gas has launched a guidance sheet on the use of R404A to help users better understand the product limitations.

View the guidance sheet here or contact a member of the A-Gas team for more information.
