Haier acquires KLIMA KFT to expand HVAC presence in CEE region

Haier Europe Appliances Holding BV and E.ON MyEnergy Kft. completed the acquisition and handover of KLIMA KFT in Budapest on June 3, 2025. The deal transfers all of KLIMA’s assets, channels, and expertise to Haier, supporting the company’s HVAC growth strategy in Hungary and the broader Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region.

The acquisition aims to strengthen Haier’s foothold in CEE, a region marked by increasing demand for high-efficiency and sustainable HVAC solutions, driven by infrastructure development and energy transition policies. Haier intends to leverage KLIMA’s local network to promote its technologies in alignment with Europe’s carbon neutrality goals.

Peter Lukácsi, Managing Director of KLIMA KFT, said: “We are delighted to join forces with Haier, a global leader in HVAC solutions. Haier’s global R&D and supply chain capabilities will infuse new innovation into our existing channels and services, delivering more diverse and efficient solutions for our clients. For our employees, this partnership opens up greater opportunities for growth and career development.”

Haier emphasized that KLIMA’s project experience and service network in Hungary will support its “Zero Distance” customer strategy across the region. Bob Cowlard, CEO of Haier HVAC Europe, stated: “KLIMA’s deep project implementation expertise and well-established service network in Hungary will enable us to better understand local customer needs and leverage Haier’s technical and service strengths across the broader CEE region.”

Li Pan, Vice President of Haier Group and General Manager of Haier Smart Home Overseas Division, added: “With KLIMA officially integrated into the Haier Smart Home family, we will build a more comprehensive HVAC value chain in overseas markets.”
