Hilmersson of Kristianstad Joins Nordic Climate Group

Nordic Climate Group has expanded its presence in Sweden’s Skåne and Blekinge regions with the acquisition of Hilmersson El & Kyl, based in Kristianstad with a branch in Sölvesborg. The company specializes in service and repairs for cooling systems, heat pumps, and commercial kitchen facilities.

Founded in 1978, Hilmersson serves property owners, the public sector, restaurants, food services, and homeowners. The company has extensive experience in natural cooling media, particularly LP gas solutions. With 19 employees and an annual turnover of SEK 39 million, Hilmersson is expected to strengthen Nordic Climate Group’s position in southern Sweden.

“For quite some time, we’ve been exploring our options for Hilmersson’s next step. It’s about growing the company, securing a good future, and remaining at the forefront of technological developments. That’s why it feels right to join Nordic Climate Group,” says Bengt Hilmersson, Sales Director and owner of Hilmersson.

Anton Möllerberg, CEO of Hilmersson, highlights the benefits of the acquisition: “Since I joined Hilmersson as CEO in 2020, we’ve worked to streamline every aspect to ensure that we can deliver top quality in our service. We’ve had a good response to this approach, both from customers and within the company. Joining Nordic Climate Group, in a business model where we retain our local profile, way of working, and our roles, is ideal.”

Nordic Climate Group maintains a strategy of strengthening its local presence while allowing acquired companies to retain their brands and operations. Other companies in the group’s Skåne network include LL:s Kylteknik in Kristianstad, TermoKyl in Helsingborg, and Klimatpartner and TR Kyl in Malmö.

“We’re very happy that Hilmersson has chosen to join Nordic Climate Group. This means we can strengthen our position in Skåne, and in terms of service in general, which fits perfectly with our strategy,” says Mikael Anjou, Head of Sweden for Nordic Climate Group.

Nordic Climate Group aims to help customers reduce their climate footprint and improve energy efficiency, with plans for continued growth through both acquisitions and organic expansion.
