Hudson Technologies acquires Colorado-based reclaimer Refrigerants Inc.

Hudson Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: HDSN), a U.S. provider of refrigerant products and services, has acquired Refrigerants Inc., an EPA-certified reclaimer and refrigerant distributor based in Denver, Colorado. The transaction was completed for an initial purchase price of $2.5 million, subject to standard post-closing adjustments.

Refrigerants Inc., with over 20 years in the industry, offers a range of refrigerant lifecycle services including buyback, distribution, cylinder exchange, onsite recovery, and reclamation. The company has been a long-time partner of Hudson Technologies.

Hudson stated that the acquisition aligns with its strategy to expand access to recovered refrigerant sources and support growth in its reclamation business. Although financially immaterial, the deal enhances Hudson’s reach in key markets and strengthens its aftermarket supply chain for recovered refrigerants.

The acquisition also supports Hudson’s positioning ahead of the upcoming 2029 reduction in virgin HFC supply mandated by the AIM Act. The integration of Refrigerants Inc. is expected to help grow recovered refrigerant volumes and improve access to field technicians returning used refrigerants.

“Our acquisition of Refrigerants Inc. is consistent with previous accretive acquisitions that have delivered organic growth in our core refrigerants reclamation business,” said Kenneth Gaglione, President and CEO of Hudson Technologies. “We’re excited to welcome the talented Refrigerants Inc. team to Hudson and look forward to leveraging their expertise to drive growth and expand our leadership position in the reclamation industry.”
