IOR Announces Resolution of Dispute Between Parties

The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) has issued a statement following successful mediation involving President Lisa-Jayne Cook, CEO Miriam Rodway, and Past President Graeme Fox. The parties have resolved their differences and committed to working collaboratively in the future.

During the mediation held in December, Mr. Fox and Ms. Rodway engaged in a constructive and positive dialogue. As part of the agreement, Mr. Fox acknowledged and apologized for comments he made that caused distress to Ms. Rodway and concern among the Board of Trustees. He recognized that his remarks had not been conducive to resolving the dispute.

The Board of Trustees also extended an apology to Mr. Fox, acknowledging that their treatment of his concerns earlier in the year had exacerbated the situation and caused him significant distress.

Both parties emphasized their intention to rebuild a positive and productive working relationship. The IOR expressed its appreciation for Mr. Fox's contributions to the refrigeration sector and its anticipation of his continued involvement in supporting the Institute’s work.

This resolution underscores the commitment of all involved to fostering a collaborative environment for the advancement of the industry.
