In 2018, Johnson Controls and Lincoln Tech announced their partnership with the goal of bridging the technical skills gap through programs that empower local students to build fulfilling careers in the technical workforce. Graduates of these programs are given the unique opportunities to pursue careers with Johnson Controls, bringing their experience with Johnson Controls equipment to the table in delivering smarter, safer buildings and communities.
Recent graduates, such as Madeline Cobb, Iesha Whylie and Mike Siragusa, shared their experiences during the classroom launch events, emphasizing how the customized curriculum across industries and tactical experience with Johnson Controls equipment set them up for long-term career success. Additionally, Al Young, vice president of field services and installation operations for Johnson Controls Building Solutions North America, and Scott Shaw, CEO at Lincoln Tech, discussed the important role organizations in the technical field can play in nurturing the next generation workforce.
The 10 classrooms are located at the following Lincoln Tech campuses: Indianapolis, Indiana; Melrose Park, Illinois; Shelton, New Britain and East Windsor, Connecticut; Columbia, Maryland; Marietta, Georgia; Denver, Colorado; Mahwah and Union, New Jersey.
