Jordan reached a milestone with its National Cooling Action Plan (NCAP) after stakeholders agreed on 30 measures during a meeting on 26 November 2024. Developed with the Ministry of Environment and Cool Up programme, the plan targets sustainable Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) strategies.
The Royal Scientific Society led stakeholder engagement, involving experts from various sectors to ensure the plan’s success. Key measures include building standards, energy efficiency, refrigerant regulation, and cold chain development.
The finalized plan will be reviewed and adopted in early 2025, guiding Jordan toward energy-efficient and climate-friendly cooling solutions. The Cool Up NCAP team credits stakeholder collaboration for this achievement.
