Kaori Heat Treatment Co. Ltd. received Greenhouse Gas Verification Statement certificate

In order to implement the company's sustainable development and carbon reduction goals, the global leader in professional thermal energy technology, Kaori Heat Treatment Co. Ltd. (8996.TW), the parent company took the lead ahead of the regulatory requirements and has been verified in accordance with ISO 14064-3:2006 as meeting the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018 by the SGS Taiwan Ltd. on 15th, October 2023., with a 100% achievement rate.

Meanwhile, to reduce the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on global warming, Kaori has teamed up with " GHG Survey Committee" in 2021 to conduct a greenhouse gas inventory and promote carbon reduction-related operations, and use ISO 14064-1:2018 standards to prepare a greenhouse gas inventory report to check the direct and indirect sources of greenhouse gas emissions within the scope of operations to meet the needs of customers and other stakeholders for carbon emissions information. Statistics of greenhouse gas emissions in 2022, including direct emissions of 292.4936 tons of CO2e, indirect greenhouse gas emissions of 26,335.0645 tons of CO2e, and total emissions of 26,627.558 tons of CO2e.

2050 Net-Zero emission path planned by the government, Kaori ESG Committee will accelerate the promotion of various sustainable affairs, set short-, medium- and long-term carbon reduction targets, regularly disclose the results of greenhouse gas inventory, and review energy conservation and carbon reduction year by year. At the same time, strengthen the management of upstream and downstream carbon footprint of products, and actively reduce the impact of product life cycle on the environment, so as to enhance the company's sustainable operation strength and resilience, and move towards ESG transformation.
