KeepRite Refrigeration marks 80th anniversary with focus on A2L refrigerants

KeepRite Refrigeration, a Canadian manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment, is celebrating 80 years since its founding in 1945 in Brantford, Ontario. The company has evolved into an international supplier, with manufacturing facilities in Ontario and Texas.

The company is preparing for the upcoming US regulations taking effect on January 1, 2026, by developing condensing units and evaporators optimized for A2L-classified refrigerants, including R-454A, R-454C, and R-455A. These systems are designed to meet lower Global Warming Potential (GWP) requirements while maintaining system performance.

“Our A2L-compatible platforms reflect our commitment to sustainability, regulatory compliance, and forward-thinking design,” said John Murray, President of KeepRite Refrigeration.

KeepRite Refrigeration’s product range includes evaporators, condensing units, multi compressor units, condensers, fluid coolers, coils, air handlers, heat reclaim systems, and parallel compressor systems. The company also offers proprietary technologies such as Thermospan, Thermosaver, and the SMART³ suite, which includes ESP+, Limitrol+, SMARTSPEED, QUIETUNIT, LINK/LINK+, and shafted EC motors.

All manufacturing operations are ISO 9001:2015 certified. The company provides technical support through a network of trained sales professionals and offers design tools to assist system planners.

“We’re proud of our heritage, but even more excited about what lies ahead,” added Murray. “We’re just getting started.”
