Applications are now open for the 2026 round of the Kirby Apprentice Fund (KAF) CO₂ Training Scholarship, aimed at supporting apprentices in the Australian refrigeration sector with specialised training in natural refrigerants.
The initiative provides selected apprentices with structured training in CO₂ systems, contributing to safer and more sustainable refrigeration practices. The program is part of Kirby’s broader effort to strengthen capability in the HVAC&R workforce as industry demands evolve.
The 2026 training sessions will be held from 7–9 April at the Beijer Ref Headquarters in Sydney. Training will include CO₂ Safety and CO₂ Repair and Service Systems courses, delivered by SCM REF AU and certified by Superior Training Centre Pty Ltd (RTO ID Number 41122).
Applications are open to eligible apprentices, with limited places available. Further information, including eligibility criteria and the application process, is available via Kirby’s official website.
