Kulthorn Kirby has acquired the intellectual property of Bristol Compressors

That acquisition includes all copyrights, patents and brands.

Air conditioning and refrigeration compressor manufacturer Bristol announced its closure at the end of July 2018. The new agreement transfers Bristol’s equipment, brand name, product line, technology and other assets to Kulthorn Kirby.

Kulthorn Kirby is entitled to manufacture Bristol compressors for use in air conditioning, commercial refrigeration and heat pumps. All Bristol production assets will be transferred from Bristol, Virginia, to Thailand.

Kulthorn Kirby plans to start production of Bristol compressors in Thailand by summer 2019. The company intends to fully support Bristol’s customers worldwide throughout the transition period.
