LU-VE Group, the world leader in air heat exchangers, has won recognition in the “China Awards 2019” event, in the “Top Investors” category.
After winning the same award in 2015 and 2018, this year LU-VE has won a further award, the third in total: the only company ever to have won for two consecutive years, thanks to its significant investments in China. The latest is the start-up of production at the LU–VE plant in Tianmen, in the Province of Hubei. 15,000 square meters are dedicated to production processes out of the 19,000-total area (double the previous site of Changshu). A further possible expansion of the plant for an additional 10,000 square metres is planned from 2021.
The award ceremony was held in Milan, at the “Leonardo da Vinci” Museum of Science and Technology during the 14th edition of the “China Awards”, an event organized by the Italy-China Foundation and Class Editori, with the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of the Environment and the Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in China. The hosts of the event were Diana Bracco, Executive Vice President of the Italy-China Foundation, and Paolo Panerai, Vice President and M.D. of Class Editors, who welcomed the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Italy Li Junhua, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ivan Scalfarotto and Professor Romano Prodi in the keynote speaker role.
The fourteenth edition of the “China Awards” has rewarded the companies and individuals who have best been able to seize the opportunities of exchange between Italy and China, encouraging a positive relationship between the two markets, exploiting each other’s potential and investing in innovation, technology and human capital, true support for economic growth. In the case of LU-VE Group, the multinational based in Uboldo was rewarded for its efforts in the Chinese market – where the Group has grown by 20% every year for the last three years – but above all for its attention to sustainable economic growth: through cutting-edge technologies in the field of industrial refrigeration, LU-VE contributes to reducing the environmental impact of the manufacturing processes in China. Fabio Liberali, Chief Communications Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Group collected the award.
“It is an honour to receive this award for the third time,” commented Iginio Liberali, President and founder of LU-VE Group. It is recognition of the great work that LU-VE Group is doing in China. I thank all the women and men who have brought us to this point, and in particular I thank Thomas Stiller, the General Manager of LU-VE Tianmen. In China, we are counter-cyclical compared to the general trend of the economy. True to our tradition of increasingly environmentally sustainable processes and products, three years ago we launched new ranges with low environmental impact, matching President Xi Jinping’s ‘Chinese dream’: a more beautiful China, leaving blue skies, green meadows and clean waters for future generations. We are part of this process.”
